The first four Hawaiian Express releases came out together, on cassette tapes only, shortly after the 1996 Summer Tour (featuring Grapefruit, The Power Pellets, and The Raymonds).
Prior to the tour a mail-order catalog was organized, and making additional recordings available seemed like a logical next step.

Both these shows are now available on one CD:

The first show comes from a gig with THC and Dance Hall Crashers at After Dark Nightclub (Honolulu) on 10/7/1995

The second show comes from a gig with Mr. T Experience, Anti-Flag, D.B.S., and The Tantrums at 924 Gilman Street on 12/4/1995
