20th Anniversary Re-release, with original vinyl from 1981!

Trivia/History:
Recorded and released in 1981, this vinyl record is now available again -- featuring the original vinyl with a new sleeve!
A simple twist of fate led me to reach Beano who kindly gave me one of the few silk-screened versions from 20 years ago.
He also provided me with a few hundred copies of the records and a revised version of the cover art design for printing new cover sleeves.

Lyrics:

Tourist Riot

Folks sleeping in the valley
Woke up in a choke
To the sound of fire engines
And the smell of fire & smoke
They jumped up in their beds
Started looking toward the sound
Saw the fiery silhouettes
Of hotels burning down

Meanwhile in the tourist trap
The travelers had gone mad
They were fed up, they were pissed off
Their vacations had gone bad
"We're tired of overbooking"
Screamed the angry Kansas mob
"We're sick of being pushed around,
beaten up and robbed!"

Tourist Riot! Tourist Riot!

The colored birds are gone
the old ones have moved on
I know the picture isn't very pretty
My daddy farms a plot
In a concrete parking lot
Aw, fuck it! I'm gonna move
To New York city

They busted out the windows
Of the nearby discount shops
They were looting all the merchandise
When someone called the cops
The bulls then opened fire
and laid a handful down
Then things got really ugly
"Let's burn this sucker down!"

Spilled into Chinatown
Where local boys abide
The L-B's burned a tourist bus
With everyone inside
A moped gang from Iowa
To even up the score
Broke into a gun shop
and armed themselves for war
Three days and nights the city burned
With fighting everywhere
The shy was black, no rainbows shined
and death was on the air

Tourist Riot! Tourist Riot!

Rio

Give up your money
you must give up your every dime
we stay here to take the rap
for the hideous crime
pick up your toys and start
burning up the street
me and jack will wait here
and square things with the heat

you got your love gun busted
you do it every time

we've seen your rolling wheels
we played your shady deals
we heard those teenage squeals
too many times

you drew another zero
it's always been your luck
they say that down in Panama
a man can make a buck
bus fare to the airport
here's your ticket south
chain the papers to your wrist
and hold this capsule in your mouth

flying down to Rio
your white suit soaked with sweat

In

In,
we're going in,
we're going in,
we're going in,
we're going in,
we're going in,
we're going in,
we're going in,
take it
you can't take it
you can do something about it
you can take it
you can't take it
you can't do nothing about it
here we wiggle by your shoe
step on it it it it it it moves! it moves!
it's in, it's going... in, we're going...

are you losing sense of humor
could be Jesus was only kidding
are you losing sense of humor
could be Jesus was just a salesman
